This 335 × 679 × 30 mm refractory stone is designed to replace one baking element in certain professional Cuppone gas pizza ovens.
With its substantial 30 mm thickness, it is suitable for certain older generations of gas ovens equipped with thick refractory stones offering high thermal inertia.

Refractory stone for Cuppone pizza oven
This stone is intended for certain Cuppone gas pizza ovens using a baking surface made up of several refractory elements with a thickness of 30 mm.
Older Cuppone gas oven ranges include models with baking chambers close to the following dimensions:
- approximately 680 × 680 mm
- approximately 680 × 1010 mm
- approximately 1010 × 1010 mm
The 335 × 679 mm format is particularly consistent with certain configurations of the first two chamber sizes.
Cuppone G4 – compatibility to be checked
Older Cuppone G4 gas ovens have a baking chamber close to:
680 × 680 mm
Two stones measuring:
335 × 679 × 30 mm
placed side by side provide an approximate surface of:
670 × 679 mm
This configuration is therefore consistent with certain Cuppone G4 ovens.
However, the original stone must always be measured before ordering.
Cuppone G6 – compatibility to be checked
Older Cuppone G6 gas ovens have a baking chamber close to:
680 × 1010 mm
Three stones measuring:
335 × 679 × 30 mm
placed side by side provide an approximate surface of:
1005 × 679 mm
This geometry is consistent with certain Cuppone G6 configurations.
Always check the dimensions and number of stones installed in the oven before ordering.
Difference from Cuppone G9
This stone should not be confused with the format used in certain Cuppone G9 configurations.
Some G9 ovens use a different refractory stone measuring:
335 × 1006 × 30 mm
The 335 × 679 × 30 mm stone should therefore not automatically be selected for a G9 oven.
Diamond compatibility
This size is also associated with certain professional Diamond oven configurations.
However, no specific Diamond model is sufficiently confirmed to be listed as compatible without verification.
For a Diamond oven, always check:
- exact stone dimensions;
- 30 mm thickness;
- number of refractory elements;
- stone orientation;
- baking surface dimensions.
Cuppone OEM reference
No sufficiently reliable Cuppone OEM reference has been publicly identified for this stone.
Compatibility should therefore mainly be determined from:
- oven model;
- original stone dimensions;
- stone thickness;
- number of stones installed.
Function of the refractory stone
The refractory stone forms part of the baking surface of the pizza oven.
Its 30 mm thickness allows it to store a substantial amount of heat.
It helps to:
- store heat;
- stabilise baking temperature;
- transfer heat directly to the underside of the pizza;
- promote even baking;
- maintain high thermal inertia between baking cycles.
When should the refractory stone be replaced?
Replacement may become necessary if the stone has:
- major breakage;
- a missing section;
- an unstable crack;
- excessive movement;
- severe surface deterioration;
- a significant height difference compared with adjacent stones.
A small stable crack does not necessarily require immediate replacement.
Checks before ordering
Before ordering, measure the stone currently installed in the oven.
Check:
- width: 335 mm
- length: 679 mm
- thickness: 30 mm
- rectangular shape
- exact Cuppone oven model
- baking surface dimensions
- number of stones installed
- orientation of the stones
These checks are particularly important on older Cuppone pizza ovens.
Installation
Before carrying out any work:
- shut off the gas supply;
- disconnect any electrical supply;
- allow the oven to cool completely;
- carefully remove the damaged stone;
- remove fragments and debris;
- clean the supports;
- inspect the seating area;
- install the new stone without forcing it.
The stone must be properly supported and should not be subjected to excessive mechanical stress.
First heat-up
After replacement, bring the oven up to temperature gradually.
Avoid severe thermal shock.
Never pour cold water onto a hot refractory stone.
Maintenance
Allow the stone to cool completely before cleaning.
Remove dry residues with a suitable brush.
Avoid soaking the stone with water or chemical cleaning products.
Predominantly dry cleaning is recommended.
Fast shipping
This stone is prepared for fast shipping to help minimise downtime for your professional pizza oven.
Reinforced and highly protective packaging
Due to its weight and the natural fragility of refractory materials, this stone requires suitable protection during transport.
We use reinforced, highly protective packaging, with particular attention given to:
- protecting both surfaces;
- protecting all four corners;
- protecting the edges;
- securing the stone inside the parcel;
- limiting movement during transport;
- reinforcing the outer packaging.
